Introduction to the Anahata Energy Centre
The Anahata Chakra, often called the heart chakra, is a twelve-petalled energy centre behind the sternum bone along the spinal cord. On the physical plane, it corresponds to the cardiac plexus, which plays a crucial role in:
- Producing antibodies to protect the body and mind.
- Regulating heart and lung function, ensuring healthy breathing.
The sub-chakra on the left side of the heart energy centre houses your spirit, also known as the Self. This chakra reveals the true nature of your existence, it reflects your divine essence—the presence of God—within you.
Awakening the Anahata Chakra
An awakened heart reveals our core divine qualities: truth, consciousness, and Bliss—Sat, Chit, Anand in Sanskrit. This awakening results from the unification of the spirit with the Kundalini, resonating with harmony and pure divine love. Achieving this union bestows self-realisation and allows the heart to open fully, radiating the pure energy of love.
Ancient seekers often affirmed that neither the external realm—what we see—nor the internal realm—our emotions and thoughts—define actual reality. They realised:
I am not this body nor these emotions or thoughts—I am the pure, eternal spirit.
