Maintaining Vibrational Integrity
Everything in the universe is in motion; nothing is truly still. At its core, the universe and all that exists within it are manifestations of pure vibratory energy, taking on various forms. What we perceive as solid matter is, in reality, energy vibrating at different frequencies. Our subtle system is sensitive to these vibrations, making vibrational protection essential for maintaining inner harmony.
Just as we emit vibrations from our inner being, we also absorb vibrations from our surroundings and can be affected by the energies directed toward us. Positive energies uplift us, while negative energies may destabilise our inner balance. For this reason, creating a robust, energetic boundary is vital to preserving the integrity of our vibrational field.
The Bandhan Technique – Building Your Protective Field
To shield and sustain your energetic field, practice Bandhan, a protective technique that strengthens your well-being in two powerful ways:
- Establishing Thoughtless Awareness
Begin by using your hands to raise your Kundalini through the central channel, focusing your attention on the Sahasrara (crown) chakra. Holding your awareness here moves you beyond thought, naturally elevating your vibrational frequency and creating a state of inner stillness. - Creating a Spontaneous Shield of Protection
From Sahasrara’s stillness, focus on the hand movements involved in Bandhan. This practice spontaneously establishes a protective shield around your energetic body. Known in Christianity as the "Armour of God" and in the Vedic tradition as Kavach, this shield guards you against mental, emotional, and psychic negativity, preserving your inner peace.
Your right hand, associated with the Pingala Nadi (the energy channel of action), plays an active role. In contrast, your left hand, linked to the Ida Nadi (the channel of desire and witnessing), supports the process.
When to Use Bandhan
The Bandhan technique can be used anytime you need protection or balance. Here are some examples:
- Before and after meditation – To prepare for and close your practice with a protected state.
- During moments of vulnerability – If you feel energetically drained or overwhelmed.
- Before leaving home – To safeguard your vibrational field when entering busy or challenging environments.
This simple yet profound practice strengthens your inner harmony and reinforces your energetic field, keeping you centred and resilient as you journey through daily life.
